Hey pupils...how's your holidays??? We want to wish all of you (including all the teachers and the workers) a Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri. So, during this hari raya, we hope everyone has asked for forgiveness. Remember kids, don't forget to ask forgiveness from your parents. This holidays could be a good week for the kids to collect 'duit raya' and eating 'raya' cookies. Just don't forget to come back to school on 28th September 2009.

Finally, UPSR has arrived!

The day for the year 6's UPSR (Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah) candidates have been waiting for has finally arrived. Yes, it's just one more day for them to their final revision above all. Our advices:

1) Don't be over confidence
2) Don't panic
3) Take a deep breath
4) Read the questions carefully
5) Write your answers in given time
6) Check again after you have finished them
7) Remember, don't do careless mistakes

Happy Independence Day!!!

Yes, it's actually true. This 31st August 2009 will be the 52nd Merdeka Day. Do you know it was quite a long time since we had ourselves the freedom???

We hope all the pupils will understand the true meaning of independence for our country. Although we had been invaded by multiple invaders, but that did not mean that we should hide under the blanket. We have our own voice, our own dignity and that was how we get our independence from the British. Thanks a lot to our first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj and his friends who had make this come true.

And by this, we hope that you can celebrate the National Day proudly although it is Ramadhan. We hope all the pupils not only Muslim, but also others (Buddha, Hindu, Kristian etc,.) to pray and give your gratefulness during your prayer. Hopefully this harmony and independence will last forever.

The Beginning of Ramadhan

Hello kids and all parents...

22nd August 2009 was the first day that all the Muslims start their fasting in Ramadhan. Hopefully all the pupils able to complete their fasting for the whole month. Hehe.

We wish all the best to all UPSR candidates that are going to take their big exams during this fasting month. Good Luck!

Mourning

Sadly, we had lost another one of our great teacher. Our ex-Penyelia Petang, Miss Navamani who had recently passed away because of severe illness.

We hope that everyone can give a silent respect for the lost of Miss Navamani. May she rest in peace.

Days Out

On 11th and 12th July 2009, the teachers of SK Convent Jalan Peel had planned to go to Tiara Beach Resort for a couple days out.

We had done many activities including mini sports, water activities and of course, listening to speeches about Etiquette and Healthy Eating.

The End of PKSR 1 and Intervensi 3 for Year 6

At last, it is the last day for Year 6 pupils to work their brain for Intervensi 3. Let's go through the history of their examination.

Monday, 29th June 2009 - Bahasa Malaysia Kertas 1 and Kertas 2
Tuesday, 30th June 2009 - Mathematics Paper 1 and Paper 2
Wednesday, 1st July 2009 - English Paper 1 and Paper 2, Science

We do hope the pupils do well in their exams. We also that they will do their best for upcoming UPSR in September. Good Luck!

Teacher's Day 2009

Our school Teacher's Day celebration on 22nd May 2009 was fulled of entertainment and games. The funniest part was when the teachers had to guess the name of the songs played. We couldn't believe that Puan Patimah able to sing oldies songs.

Teacher's Day Celebration

SK Convent Jalan Peel will officially celebrate Teacher's Day on Friday, 22nd May 2009. There's going to be many interesting events going on that day. The pupils going to sing and dance for their teachers. Wait and see.

Sukan Mini 2009

Last week, on Saturday, 11th April 2009, SK Convent Jalan Peel had organised Sukan Mini 2009. The games that were held on that day were chess, volleyball, netball and badminton.

Above all, Dang Wangi (Blue House) had won Sukan Mini with their most marks. Tun Teja (Red House) got the second place, Dang Anum (Green House) third place and the fourth place is Tun Fatimah (Yellow House). The pupils were enjoying themselves on that day.

The teachers and the pupils worked together very hard so that this event would be really happening. Guess what?! It worked and worth it. So, on behalf of the School Admin, we would like to say thanks to the teachers and pupils for collaborating themselves in this event. Not to forget, the trainee teachers too.
